Tyrone Carnell Shannon, Sr. entered eternal rest on Friday, November 1, 2024, at his residence. He was the son of the late John Henry Shannon and the late Maddie Lee Shannon and the husband of Barbara Stokley Shannon of the home.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 9, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Edenton, North Carolina with his brother Rev. John Shannon as Eulogist/Pastor.
In addition to his wife Barbara, Tyrone also leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Anita Carter (Jerome), New Orleans, Louisiana; three sons, Tyrone C. Shannon, Jr., Javon L. Shannon and Deitrich L. Shannon, Sr. and their mother, Linda Barclift Shannon all of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; two sisters, Juanita Williams (Ronald), Fayetteville, North Carolina and Angela Brumsey (Jerome), Elizabeth City, North Carolina; six brothers, Tom Price (Barbara) and John Shannon (Phyllis), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Curtis Shannon (Dale), Suffolk Virginia, Keith Shannon (Lyonita), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Samuel Shannon (Tamara), Suffolk, Virginia and Lamar Shannon, Elizabeth City, North Carolina; twelve grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two aunts, Cynthia Johnson & Louise Thompson, Elizabeth City, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
