Samuel Grover Gallop, 63, of 703 First Street, Apt B, Elizabeth City, NC went to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Powells Point, NC. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased. Mr. Gallop leaves to cherish his precious memories; one daughter, Aimee Trotman (Michael) of Elizabeth City, NC; one foster son, Darnell Hedgebeth of Elizabeth City, NC, fiancee', Daphney Rountree of Elizabeth City, NC, six sisters, Bertie Seymore (Theordore) and Carrie Burton, of Powells Point, NC, Elaine Baxter (Richard) of Elizabeth City, NC, Lena Gallop of Powells Point, NC, Juney G. Stokley (Archie Sr) of Elizabeth City, NC and Josie Harris (Corneal) of Chesapeake, VA; six grandchildren, LaQuisha Jones, Shaquita Jones Tavares Jones (Cadedra), Kamaurie Hedgebeth, Kamiyah Hedgebeth and Camron Hedgebeth; two great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
