Reginald Marice Griffin, Sr. entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Sentara Virginia Beach General in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was the son of the late Elder Franklin Griffin Sr. and the late Ida Mae Brown Griffin and the husband of Carol Lee Griffin of the home.
Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, April 24, 2026, at 12 noon at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Elizabeth City, North Carolina with Rev. Dr. Kelvin E. McDonald, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Dove’s Landing Cemetery in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. A viewing/visitation will be Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 5 – 7 pm at the funeral home.
In addition to his wife Carol, he leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Reginald Marice Griffin, Jr. (Charity), Kernersville, North Carolina and Ryan Michael Griffin (Erika), Clayton, North Carolina; six grandchildren; one sister, Fannie Griffin Williams (Linwood), Elizabeth City, North Carolina; five brothers; Elijah Griffin Sr. (Betty J), Moyock, North Carolina, Marvin L. Griffin (Rev. Catherine) and James Griffin (Mary), both of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Willie Griffin (Michelle), Chesapeake, Virginia and Michael G. Griffin (Gwendolyn), Portsmouth, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
