Paul Keith Devers

Paul Keith Devers, 51, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. He was a beloved father, brother, son, pawpaw, fiancé and friend. Paul was born in Portsmouth, VA. He is survived by his two children, Jakob Keith Devers (Caroline) and Sara Elisabeth Devers, as well as his beloved granddaughter, Tinley, whom she affectionately called "Paw Paw." He is also survived by his fiancé, Dina, his brothers, Travis Devers and Brad Devers (Ashley), and his parents, Carolyn Dolliver and David Devers Sr. (Jane).

Paul’s life was defined by three things: his family, his service in the Marine Corps, and his love for the game of golf. He had an unwavering commitment to his family and was known for his kind and generous spirit. Outside of hanging out with his family, Paul could be found hitting the links at his favorite golf course, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves, or watching Spider-man. He also took great honor in his service in the Marine Corps, for which he served 8 years. The majority of his career was spent working for Spectrum and he always lent a hand to his coworkers.

Family was the center of Paul’s life. He took pride in watching his children grow, cherishing the time he got to spend with them and his granddaughter Tinley. Paul’s warm smile, infectious laughter, and steadfast support made him a pillar of strength for his loved ones. He had a knack for bringing people together and making all feel welcome. He touched many lives by simply showing interest in them and a willingness to lend a hand wherever he could.

Paul Devers will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the golf courses he frequented. May he rest in peace.

The family will be holding a memorial service to celebrate Paul's life and legacy. The details of the memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, an organization that was dear to Paul's heart.
