Mollie M. Beasley entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in Hoover, Al. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Willie and Mrs. Carrie Majette; sister to the late Thornton and Lafayette “Lot” Majette, and wife to Dr. T.V. Beasley who preceded her in death on November 8, 2023.
Her Celebration of Life will be Saturday, November 23, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with visitation/viewing at Corner Stone Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, North Carolina with Pastor Reverend Antonio M. Williams. Organizational ceremonies of the Links Incorporated, the Epicureans, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., will begin at 11:45 am (doors will be closed during these ceremonies). The worship service will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at Westlawn Cemetery, Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Cherishing her memory are her devoted son, Darryl K. Beasley, Sr., JD., and daughter-in love Dr. Tamera Coyne-Beasley, who she resided with before her death; two grandchildren, whom she adored: Darryl Keith Beasley, Jr and Kayla Imani Yvette Beasley, a sister-in-law Juanita Majette, first cousins Louise Littlejohn (Herbert), Billy Langford (Marguerite); nephews Ricky M. Majette, Arnette Skinner, Colin Tilman, Roderick Majette, Terrell Majette, Dwan Bell; nieces Pamela Majette, Laquitta M. Thomas, and a host of friends and relatives who will truly miss her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to establish the “Dr. Thaddeus V. and Mrs. Mollie M. Beasley" Scholarship Endowment Fund to support a student-athlete majoring in Biology, Physical Education, or Health-related discipline at Elizabeth City State University.
