Mrs. Mary L. Wiggins Staton entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Clayton Wiggins and the late Oliva Johnson and the wife of the late John J. Staton.
Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, March 28, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Edenton, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the Beaver Hill Cemetery, Edenton, North Carolina. A viewing/visitation will be Friday, March 27, 2026, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Beach Funeral Home, Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Larry A. Wiggins, Raeford, North Carolina; two sisters, Loleta L. Williams, Edenton, North Carolina and Rosamond O. Eaves, Queens, New York; one brother, Oscar Wiggins (Jacqueline), Yulee, Florida; two grandchildren, Karry Ann Lopez, Bronx, New York and Anaya Coleman, Rockhill, South Carolina; two step-children, Robert P. Parker, Greenville, North Carolina and Juanita Brown, Topeka, Kansas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
