Mrs. Mary Jane McPherson Brown of Elizabeth City, NC entered into eternal rest on Sunday October 25, 2015 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 31,2015 at 12:00 Noon, at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8pm. The family will receive friends at her sons residence, Mark Brown 602 Everett Drive Elizabeth City, NC. Mrs. Brown leaves to cherish her precious memory; two daughters, Dorothy Walton(Wendell) and Debbie Holley, both of Elizabeth City,NC; five sons, Mark R. Brown, Sr.(Jackie), Rod C. Brown, Sr.(Shenita), Kipley E. Brown(Tammy), Chuckie O. Brown(Felecia), and Kovic O."Mego" Brown(Tisha), all of Elizabeth City, NC; three sisters, Gladys Gardner of Long Island, NY, Sarah Griffin and Mary McPherson, both of Elizabeth City, NC; and one brother, Cecil McPherson of Long Island, NY; twenty-four grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of other family and friends.
