Mary E. "Penny" Bembry of 115 Rosewood Avenue, Elizabeth City, NC, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at New Sawyers Creek Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, frm 4:00-8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased. Mary leaves to cherish her loving memories; daughter, Kurtrinia Owens (Rodney) of Elizabeth City, NC; one son, Milition Pettus; four grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eartharine White and Dorothy White of Elizabeth City, NC and Helen Wilson (Jerry) of South Carolina; four brothers, Samuel Pettus, Jr of Brooklyn NY, Johnnie Pettus of Elizabeth City, NC, David White of Richmond VA and Stanley White of Durham, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
