Deaconess Marilene Ann Elliott Dobie, retired educator entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Jordan Elliott and Thelma Felton Elliott and the wife of Phillip N. Dobie of the home.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 at Mt. Lebanon AME Zion Church in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Interment will follow in Dove’s Landing Cemetery in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. A Christian Wake Service and Family Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2026, at St. Paul AME Zion Church in Hertford, North Carolina.
In addition to her husband, Deaconess Dobie leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Keisha Dobie, Elizabeth City, North Carolina; two grandsons, Justin and Jarrett Dobie, Elizabeth City, North Carolina; one brother, Lloyd Felton, Edenton, North Carolina and several cousins and friends.
