Lula Virginia Downing

Mrs. Lula Virginia Downing entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 11, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, NY. Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Shiloh Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, Roper, NC at 1:00PM. She will lie in repose at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Lula leaves to cherish her loving memories; four daughters, Linda A. Downing-Santiful of Hampton, Va. Brenda M. Downing of Amityville Long Island, NY, Alice M. Downing-Ferebee of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Evelyn J. Downing of Roosevelt, NY. one sister, Queenie Victoria Chesson-Bell and brother, Lynwood E. Chesson both of Plymouth, N.C., three aunts: Gladys Norman-Thomas, Louise Norman, and Mable Norman, a mother-in-law Pauline Downing, and host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
