Mrs. Lou Edith Price Barnett of Elizabeth City, North Carolina entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Henry Price and the late Sarah Morris Price and the wife of the late Samuel Barnett, Jr.  She was predeceased by all of her siblings, Estella Price Boyd, Charlie Price, Sarah Price Jennings, John Henry Price, Rosetta Price Lewis, Willie Price, Robert Lee Price, Sr. and Madison Price.

Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, February 24, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Interment will be in the Dove’s Landing Cemetery, Elizabeth City, North Carolina.  A viewing/visitation will be Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories one daughter, Jennifer Denise Barnett (Waymon), Richmond, VA; two sons, Timothy Andrew Barnett, Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Mark Barnett, (Marion Deloatch Barnett, deceased), Yorktown, Virginia; one grandson, Brandon Barnett, Yorktown, Virginia; four sister-in-laws, Hermenia Mena Price and Ida Louise Barnett, Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Helen Barnett Gregory, Camden, North Carolina and Wilma Jean Morris Barnett, Hertford, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
