Mrs. Juanita Poole LaMaupin entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Walter Britton and the late Helen Poole Britton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Paris V. LaMaupin.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, August 30, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, North Carolina with Rev. Dr. Kelvin E. McDonald, Eulogist. Interment will take place in the Memory Gardens Cemetery, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. A viewing/visitation will be Friday, August 29, 2025, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Juanita leaves to cherish her memory one son, William “Stan” LaMaupin (Angela), Norfolk, Virginia; four grandchildren, Andre Brothers, Elizabeth City, North Carolina, NeKeysha LaMaupin-Thoroughood (Waddee), Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jennifer Stevenson, Washington, DC and Quentin Colden (Myinn), Atlanta, Georgia; four great grandchildren, Keymiyah , Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Peyton, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Skylar and Sterling both of Washington, DC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
