Joseph Levi Simpson, age 69, of 211 N. Dyer Street, Elizabeth City, NC, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 12, 2015 at W.R. Winslow Memorial Nursing Home, Elozabeth City, NC. Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Community Church. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased. Joseph leaves to cherish his loving memories; six sisters, Bertie Seymore (Theordore) and Carrie Burton, of Powells Point, NC, Elaine Baxter (Richard) of Elizabeth City, NC, Lena Gallop of Powells Point, NC, Juney G. Stokley of Elizabeth City, NC and Josie Harris (Corneal) of Chesapeake, VA; one brother, Samuel Gallop of Elizabeth City, NC and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
