John W. Nowell, of Elizabeth City, NC, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. Family will receive friends at his aunt & uncle's house Doris & Waitman Moore, Sr., 1125 Southern Avenue, Elizabeth, City, NC. John leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Teresa Hill(Darryl)of San Jincino, Ca., Shanta Nowell(Aldric Bradley) of Wilmington, NC and Saysha Carter of Raleigh, NC; son, Ryan Nowell of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Roland Nowell(Lorraine) of Palm Bay, Fla; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren; special daughter, Dallas(his dog); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by son, Michael Nowell and parents, Hazel and Roland Nowell. Rivers Community Funeral Home is expressing sympathy through sincere service to the Nowell family,
