John Allen Gunter of Elizabeth City, North Carolina entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Paul Gunter and the late Ellen Raines Gunter and the husband of Debra Mangram Gunter of the home. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his son Jonathan Gunter; sister, Tersea Leach and brother, Robert Gunter.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Beach Funeral Home Chapel, Elizabeth City, North Carolina with Rev. Kevin McDonald, Eulogist.
John leaves to cherish his memory his wife Debra, ten daughters, Trieasha Dillard (Coby), Deidre, Wyekia, Shawntay, Alesha, Shamya, Chanice, Anansza, Taja, and Ariana Gunter; four sons, Jon, Rajon (Mukisha), Jerek and Jamane Gunter; two brothers, Luxie and Paul Gunter; two sisters, Lovie Atkinson and Paulette Chatman; eighteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Memorial Service will be live streamed via Beach River Funeral Home Facebook page.
