LCDR (Ret.) John Francis Bledsoe entered eternal rest on March 6, 2024, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. He was the son of the late Charles Robert Bledsoe and the late Hazel Coulter Bledsoe.
LCDR (Ret.) John Francis Bledsoe, a dedicated and honorable retired Navy Officer, was born in Riverview, Alabama. He dedicated his life to serving his country in the Navy. Throughout his military career, John exemplified the values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage. He was a true patriot who selflessly served his country with bravery and distinction.
In addition to his military service, John was a beloved father of two daughters and two sons. Along with his children he is survived by a host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory and legacy forever. His family and friends will always remember him as a man of honor, integrity, and strength.
In his retirement, John F. Bledsoe continued to be a pillar of strength and support for his family and community. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and sense of duty. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 23, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
