Jean Lucille Turner Burrell entered eternal rest on June 8, 2023, at Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Frank William Turner and the late Virginia (Jenny) Brooks Turner and the wife of the late Santiago Burrell. She was also predeceased by one daughter, Belinda Burrell; one son, William Franklin Burrell; four sisters, Evelyn Turner, Hazel Turner Drayton, Helen Turner Boyd, and Elizabeth Turner; and two brothers Frank (Buck) Turner and Albert Turner.
Celebration of Life Services will be Wednesday, June 14, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC, with Rev. Dr. Ricky L. Banks, Pastor/Eulogist. Interment will be in the Dove’s Landing Cemetery, Elizabeth City, NC. Family will receive friends at the viewing/visitation on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 5–7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jean leaves to cherish her memory one niece, Nannette Turner-Williams, Elizabeth City, NC; one nephew, Willie Gamble, Sr., Beaumont, Ca; one son-of-love, Javon Brothers, Covington, Ga; two great nieces and 3 great nephews.
