Celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Eastern Star Church of God in Christ at 2:00 pm. Viewing will take place on Monday from 4-8:00 at the funeral home with the family receiving friends at Raymond and Martha Griffin residence, 888 US Highway 158, Elizabeth City, NC. James leaves to cherish his memories: son, Javon Turner; three sisters, Martha Griffin (Raymond), Grace Harvey (Johnnie) all of Elizabeth, NC, and Wilma Barnett of Hertford, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
