Mrs. Ida L. Johnson, of Elizabeth City, NC entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Sentara Virginia Beach General Virginia Beach, VA. Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, July 11 at New Mount Zion COGIC at 11:00 am. Viewing will take place Friday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at her residence 1503 Emerald Lake Circle Apt 102, Elizabeth City, NC. Ida leaves to cherish her loving memories; husband, Rudolph "Rudy" Johnson of the home; three daughters, Gloria "Gail Sharrock, Angie Moffett and Valarie Johnson (John); two sons, Will "Poochie" Whitehurst (Simone) of Elizabeth City, NC and Paul "Mickey" Sharrock of Newport News, Va; one sister, Alma Boyd; one brother, William Jackson; step mother, Mildred Hunt; thirteen grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
