Hazel Marie Wood, 78, of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away on June 29, 2017 at Sentara Hospice House in Virginia Beach,VA.
Celebration of Life will take place on July 4, 2017 at 11am at Beach Funeral and Cremation Services. Viewing will take place on Monday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
Marie was born in Perquimans County to the late Charlie and Hazel Whidbee.
Surviving are her husband Lloyd Jr, her children Linwood Clifton Wood ( Doris), Melinda (James) and Michael (Euron). Surviving siblings, Shirley James (Weldon), Eldora Brooks, Minnie Whidbee, Betty Griswell, Jean Whidbee, Nettie Gordon, Debbie White, John Whidbee, Charlie Whidbee (Delores) and Willie Whidbee. A host of grand and great-grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
