Senior Chief George Allan Emerson entered eternal rest on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Currituck Health and Rehabilitation Center in Barco, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Russell George Emerson and the late Dorothy Betcher and the husband of Carla Camp Emerson of the home.
George served in the United States Coast Guard from 1978-1998 and was honorably discharged as a Senior Chief.
In addition to his wife, George leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Justin Emerson (Heather), Richmond, Virginia and Brandon Emerson, St. Petersburg, Florida; four grandchildren; three step-children, DeVashi Woods, Durham, North Carolina, Claudja Woods, Goldsboro, North Carolina and Delveon Woods, Durham, North Carolina; one brother, Brian Emerson, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
