Garland Jones entered eternal rest on Monday, October 7, 2024, at his residence. He was the son of the late March Jones and the late Madeline Barrow Jones and the husband of the late Laura Jones. He was also predeceased by one great granddaughter, Piper Giselle Taylor and three sisters, Jannie Ruth Williams, Constance McNeil, Frances Davenport; and one sister-in-law, Cynthia Spence
Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, October 14, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, North Carolina with Rev. Dr. Ricky L. Banks, Pastor and Rev. Ernest Cole, Eulogist. Interment will be in the West Lawn Cemetery, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. A viewing/visitation will be Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
Garland leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Warren Jones, Elizabeth City, North Carolina; two daughters, Robin Taylor, Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Vicki Mitchell (Darryl), Glen Burnie, Maryland; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; special cousin, Delores Biggerstaff, one brother-in-law, Ernell White and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
