Eric McCleese Shannon entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at his residence. He was the son of the late Samuel Shannon and the late Mable Geneva Spellman Shannon and the husband of Patricia A. Shannon.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Powells Point, North Carolina with Rev James McCoy, Pastor and Elder Dean Satterfield, Eulogist. Interment will be in the Pleasant Branch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Powells Point, North Carolina. A viewing/visitation will be Friday, June 13, 2025, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Eric leaves to cherish his memory his wife Patricia and son Kyle of the home; three sisters, Patricia Godfrey (Rev. Walter) and Barbara Ann Shannon both of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Juanita Francis (Charles), King George, Virginia; one brother, Glover Shannon (Juanita), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, one step-mother, Vivian Shannon, Elizabeth City, North Carolina; two step-brothers, Michael Griffin (Sharon), South Mills, North Carolina and Terry Saunders, Elizabeth City, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will be receiving friends at 130 Uncle Graham Road, Grandy, North Carolina 27939.
