Ella Ervin

Ella Louise Whidbee Ervin was born July 1, 1941 to the late Charlie and Laura Mae Whidbee. She was the second oldest of three children. Ella departed this life on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. She received her education in Pasquotank County. She joined Pitts Capel A.M.E. Zion Church at an early age where she attended faithfully until she moved to Englewood, New Jersey. Ella was united in holy matrimony to Michael Ervin where they were married for many years. Ella leaves to cherish her memories her husband; Michael Ervin of Englewood, NJ; one daughter; Sheron Simpson (Wilbert-deceased) of Elizabeth City, NC, one son; Haywood Whidbee of Manteo, NC; one sister; Cuttora Pritchett of Elizabeth City, NC, one brother-in-law; James Pritchett of Springfield, OH, three grandchildren; Tracy Whidbee, Juston Simpson, Ashley Simpson and one great-grandchild, Ishay Harris, all of Elizabeth City, NC, two very special friends; Izette Price and Phyllis Simpson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Pool and her brother-in-law, Willie L. Pool.
