Mr. Delton Mckinley Simmons, 78, of 819 Fernando Street, Manteo, NC, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 31, 2015 at his residence. Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Haven Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Manteo, NC. A viewing will take place at the church on Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased. Mr. Simmons leaves to cherish his loving memories; loving wife, Ella M. Simmons of the home; four daughters, Thelma A. Norman, Betty C. McClease (James) and Dorothy D. Kelly (William) all of Manteo, NC and Valeria C. Berry (Ralph) of Newport, NC; three sons, Billy Simmons (Tue) of Kissimmee, Fl, Delton S. Simmons (Jean) of Jarvisburg, NC and Troy D. Simmons (Deidre) of Elizabeth City, NC; four sisters; five brothers; twenty grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
