"I'm free, Praise the Lord, I'm free. No longer bound, no more chains holding me. My soul is resting, it's just a blessing; Praise the Lord! Hallelujah, I'm free."
Prophetess Cynthia Diane Butler Daniels, 55, of Aurora, NC (formerly of Brooklyn, NY) entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in Greenville, NC. Born July 07, 1969, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Charles “Charlie” Townes & the late Ethel Lee (Spell) Butler.
Cynthia grew up in Brooklyn, NY but spent school breaks & summers with family in North Carolina. She attended Brooklyn public schools & graduated from the Clara Barton High School of Health Professions . While growing up in New York she was introduced to the Lord at an early age. She accepted Jesus Christ & dedicated her life to him thus beginning her Christian walk. She attended The Deliverance Mount Olive COGIC in Brooklyn, NY under the Pastorate of Johnny and Betty Walker. Her faith in the Lord increased as she began to see miracles, signs & wonders that were taking place not only in her life but in the lives of others.
Later in her adult life, Cynthia & her daughter moved to Washington, NC. While there, she received her call to preach the gospel! Although she attended & worshipped at her family church; “Little Grove Holiness” upon moving, she later worshipped, attended & joined The Ark of The Covenant Ministries Inc. - This is where she became a minister & preached her trial sermon on November 29, 2002. The title of the message was “Look to Jesus & Live!”
When she came back to Little Grove, her ministry flourished under the Pastorates of Pastor Goldie Moore & Pastor Loucindy Columbus. She was already an ordained evangelist but often worked in the prophetic thus giving her the God given name “Prophetess”!
A homegoing service to celebrate Prophetess Cynthia’s life will be held at 1pm on Friday, September 20, 2024, at The Little Grove Holiness Church in Washington, NC with Evangelist Calaudlin Hines presiding & Reverend Annette Hoskins-Satterfield as the eulogist. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. The Internment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, North Carolina.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her only child, Raven-Symone (Todd) French, Grandchildren; Ray’Niya Johnson, Malachi & Mariah French. Siblings; Evoria Williams, Lovenia Butler, Felecia Reaves, Michael (Lakisha) Butler & a host of beloved relatives and friends.
