Carolyn Louise Overton

Carolyn Louise Overton, formerly of Elizabeth City, NC entered into eternal rest on January 5, 2016 in New York. Celebration of her life will take place on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 10:00 am at Corner Stone Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC. She will lie in state from 9:00am until time of service. Carolyn Louise Overton was born on August 1, 1940 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to the late Jessie and Mattie Overton. Carolyn completed her schooling and graduated from P.W. Moore High School at an early age of 16. Shortly after graduating, she left Elizabeth City and made her way to Brooklyn, New York,where she resided until, she transitioned to God's kingdom on Tuesday January 5, 2016 at 11:45 am. Carolyn retired from Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, New York after dedicating over forty years of service in 2002. She was a very hard worker and adored by all her co-workers.
