Carlton Nathaniel DeLoatch, Sr. was born June 12, 1936 to Jessie Mae Bradley DeLoatch and Millard DeLoatch, Sr., in Piermont, NY. He passed peacefully at home on February 15, 2018 with his devoted and loving wife, Lydia by his side.
Carlton was an all-around athlete in school. He enjoyed playing pinochle and watching sports. He retired as a laborer from New York Trap Rock in 1999. Carlton attended Elizabeth City South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. It was there he made his dedication to God and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Mae Bradley and Millard DeLoatch, his brothers, Felton, Millard, Edward and John DeLoatch.
Those left to cherish his fond memories are his wife, Lydia Green-DeLoatch, seven children, Wanda Maxwell (Randy), Linda Tarver (Bobby), Lydia DeLoatch, Carlton DeLoatch Jr. (Paula), Marcus DeLoatch, Tanya Kelsch (Michael), and Danielle Polk (Darnell); 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, siblings, Ferentine Brown, Edna Mae Brown, Rose Murphy, and Cora DeLoatch.
